How to use
Rainforest Soaker Hose Supplies
The soaker hose becomes a permanent part of your garden. Once you lay it out so it is accessible to all the plants, you leave it there. You then attach a regular hose from your water faucet to the end of the soaker hose. This high quality soaker hose weeps along its entire length, providing uniform distribution of water to the root zone.
Obviously aboveground installation is the easiest and one that can be reconfigured and moved whenever necessary. This is also true for soaker hoses laid beneath mulch. However, underground installation gives you the most watering benefits because it doesn't lose water through evaporation, among other things. So if you're laying out a garden and starting from the ground up, consider the underground options as they pay off in the long run.

Rainforest Soaker Hose System
The typical soaker hose system consists of connected hoses attached by a network of plastic tees, elbows and couplings. The end of the soaker hose is capped off and regular garden hose joins sections of soaker hose or is used to run water through areas that don't need water. Overall, soaker hoses are versatile—they can be run under a walkway or pavement with rigid plastic pipe—and are simple to install—they are, in fact, designed for do-it-yourselfers.
